Over the course of my Digital Photography class I did a many projects, walked around more than i had done i years, and got myself refreshed on photoshop. When I had fist come into the class i expected to learn how to properly handle a camera and learn it's technical aspects. I soon learned that the cameras we used had more things in common with video cameras, the ones I had used for my video production class, than I had expected. During the class I think I in many aspects. I greatly improved my photo taking skills from next to nonexistent to "eh, that's pretty good." I even managed to learn things in photoshop, despite me thinking that i knew everything.

In this assignment I had to make a subject in motion sharp, and the background blurry. This was accomplished by panning the camera at the same speed as the subject. Creating a blur in the background, but keeping the subject nice and sharp.
This assignment was about us going online, and finding a random photoshop tutorial and completing it. The tutorial I chose (link) was about using multiple different photos, and putting them together in order to make a surreal landscape.
In this assignment i had to take multiple photos of a location, without moving the camera. One photo had to be blank, and three others had to have people in different positions. I then had to stack the photos in photoshop and "cut" out the different people in order to make all of them show up in one photo. In this assignment I had to take multiple photos of a scene, and rotate the camera so ~30% of the photo overlaps with the the one before it. Once I got back into the studio, I put the photos into photoshop and had them "stitched" together. Making one long photo. If you want to see the full sized, non watermarked photos click here. In this assignment i had to take a photo of Saline High School, and change the context of it using photoshop. The context that I decided to do was the school being pulled into a black hole. I took a photo of one of the windows from inside of the building, I then edited out the landscape and put in a photo of a black hole.
For this assignment I chose to do Food. This proved to be a surprisingly difficult subject to take photos of, mostly because I kept eating my subjects. When I was setting up the little Caeser's© deep dish pizza I accidentally created some nice lighting. I turned the lights off in the kitchen but left the lights on the bottom of the microwave on. Thus creating a spotlight on the pizza. Best Photo:Editing: I upped the exposure, highlights, clarity, shadows, and saturation up a smidgen. 9 Other Good Photos:For this assignment I chose to do People. When I was taking photos I had to pay attention to the White Balance, and I had to pay attention to the lighting. These where talked about in the previous Portrait assignment. Best PhotoEditing: I upped the clarity and the exposure using the camera raw filter. 9 Other PhotosFor this assignment I chose the subject of animals. This proved to be surprisingly difficult to do because they would not sit still, and when they do they attack the camera. In order to take my photos I had to "tail" my cat, JoJo, for around two hours. Then I had to take each photo before he scratched the camera lens. Best Photo:Editing: I cut the photo into two layers; Cat and pillow. I then made the Pillow low clarity, and slightly bumped the clarity on the cat. I raised the overall exposure, highlights, and shadows. 9 Other Good Photos:In this assignment i had to use studio lighting and window lighting to take portraits of people. i then had to put them into photoshop, resize them, paste them into a new file, and create a white border around them.
